Leander ISD's Vision is that "Students will exit our system with the same passion for learning they had when they entered, without economics determining success. Every Option Open."
School Dance This Friday
CRMS is having our first SCHOOL DANCE this Friday from 4:30 pm to 7 pm. Tickets are $3 at the door. Students must bring their student ID to get into the dance. Please have your student bring cash if they are wanting to buy concessions. Parents can pick up 6th grade students at 6:45 pm. 7th and 8th grade students can be picked up at 7:00 pm.
Drop Off Items
Please try to avoid dropping items off at campus. The office is being swamped with student clothing, food, homework, athletic equipment, and computers – as many as 80 per day. If computers are left at home, students will be given paper and pencil tasks for the day. No computers can be dropped off at school.
New CRMS Front Office Hours
CRMS has new front office hours. The front office will open at 8:10 am and will close at 4:30 pm.
Picking up students at CRMS
When parents are picking up your student at CRMS, please send a note in the morning or call 512-570-3500 at least 1 hour in advance. If parents let us know in advance, we will have your student waiting in the office for you. Also, parents please bring your drivers license every time you come in to check out your student. Thank you so much!
PSAT 8/9 ~ OCTOBER 19TH
All 8th grade students will take the PSAT 8/9 test on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Canyon Ridge Middle School beginning at 8:45 a.m. Testing will take approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes, so please do not schedule appointments for students to be off campus that morning.
LISD Bus Route Information Available Online Aug. 10
On Aug. 10, Leander ISD parents can enter their home address into Infofinder i, an online tool available on the LISD website, to look up their child’s bus number and pick-up/drop-off times and locations for the coming school year. In an effort to reduce expenses and ensure real-time accuracy, the district does not print and distribute bus route schedules prior to the start of school. Bus routes are subject to change, and so LISD parents are strongly encouraged to confirm their child’s bus information again the week prior to the start of school, Aug. 15-19. For transportation questions, please call 512-570-0700.
Site-Based Planning Committees Need You!
Each campus within Leander ISD has a Site-Based Planning Committee (SBPC). These committees are composed of district employees, community members, business representatives and parents. SBPC members provide input to the principal on a wide variety of subjects, with an aim of improving the achievement of all students. The committees address such areas as planning, curriculum, budgeting, staff development, staffing patterns and school organization. Elections for parent representatives are held every fall. Parents can only serve as a parent representative at the campus where they have a child attending school. If you would like to find out more information about the council, run for one of the parent seats or nominate someone for one of the seats, please call the campus your student attends no later than Friday, September 2.
