8th Grade Students/Parents
The month of May is an exciting time for the 8th graders. There are two big events coming up: Viper Camp (May 18th) and the Eighth Grade Picnic (May 27th). There are three important forms that must be signed and returned to your child’s Language Arts teacher by May 13th. The first form is the Viper Camp permission form; the second is the permission form for the Picnic; and the third is the YMCA Waiver form for the picnic. All forms must be turned in together—(any student that missed the May 13th deadline will not be permitted to attend). Thanks in advance and if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me Donald Bosier—8th grade Assistant Principal at Donald.firstname.lastname@example.org.

Texas School Survey of Drug and Alcohol Use
Every two years, Leander ISD partners with Texas A&M University to administer the Texas Department of State Health Services
“Texas School Survey of Drug and Alcohol Use.” Data from this survey informs policy makers about the extent and nature of drug and alcohol
use in Texas schools and provides schools with statewide comparison data to help identify priorities for prevention and intervention.
In addition to this survey, Leander ISD gives our students a supplemental survey that addresses how students are getting access to drugs and alcohol,
student safety issues, and LISD’s 10 Ethical Principles. Student participation in these surveys is completely voluntary and strictly anonymous.
These surveys will be given to students in grades seventh-12th between Monday, May 16 and Friday, May 27, 2016.
If you DO NOT want your child to participate in these surveys:
1. You MUST click this link below to download and complete the opt-out forms.
2. You MUST return the completed form to your child’s campus receptionist by Tuesday, April 27, 2016
